What is a VPS?

A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtual machine, exact replica of a dedicated hardware machine in the virtual environment. It resides in the physical server which runs through Virtualization. One dedicated Server can handle multiple numbers of VPSes depending upon the server capacity and virtualization techniques. A VPS is dedicated to the individual customer's needs, has the privacy of a separate physical computer, and can be configured to run server software.
