Logging & Data Retention Policy
Last verified: 2026-10-01. This page lists exactly what Hostpaedia logs, how long we keep it and why. We collect the minimum needed to run your services — nothing for advertising, and we never sell your data.
What we log
| Data point | Collected? | Retention | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email address | Yes | Life of account + 90 days | Login, transactional email and account recovery. |
| Account & billing details you enter | As you provide | Life of account | To provision services and handle billing/support. |
| Domain registrant data (WHOIS/RDAP) | For domains only | Per ICANN / registry rules | Required by the registry. Free WHOIS privacy redacts it from public records. |
| Crypto payment transaction IDs | Yes | Life of account + 1 year | To match on-chain payments to orders, process refunds and keep accounts. |
| Panel / provisioning action logs | Yes | ~30 days | Security, abuse handling and debugging. |
| Access IP addresses | Minimal, short-lived | ~7 days (rotating) | Fraud and abuse prevention only — never sold or used to profile you. |
| Advertising / tracking profiles | No | — | We don't build ad profiles and we don't sell data. |
What we never do
We do not sell or rent your data, build advertising profiles, or require KYC (no ID upload, no address proof). No-KYC means we don't verify your identity — it does not mean the service is above the law; you remain responsible for your local law and our Acceptable Use Policy.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data — subject to registry/legal retention rules (e.g. domain WHOIS). Email [email protected].
